How-To Change Thumbnails Size in Windows XP

Posted by Adhavan on Sunday, November 9, 2008

Windows XP has a default size of 96 pixels for thumbnails in windows explorer. In Windows Vista it is possible to have thumbnails very large. Although it consumes more memory, Windows explorer thumbnail view is good for folders containing movies, pictures and music.

It is possible to change the size of thumbnails using Tweak UI Powertoy for Windows XP. After installing open Tweak UI choose Explorer->Thumbnails.

Change to the size upto 256 pixels. Also you can change the image quality of the thumbnails according to your needs.
